Fight On

It's becoming more and more apparent to me how life is such a battle. Every decision we make is either a block or a blow, a strike or a stumble; the decisions we make, those we make from the heart, have eternal consequences. This life is more than surface.

What if I said there's a lot more going on here, on this planet, in this universe, than we can see? What if there was good and there was evil? And what if they were fighting over you and I? And what if we could join one of those sides and fight alongside others for good or for evil?

Yes, it's like in the movies, it sounds silly. But I think that this is something the movies have got right, something humanity has come to understand. This world is in conflict. Not everything is alright, something is amiss here. We're missing something, Someone, somehow, somewhere, we lost it. There is not innocence any longer; somewhere, something went wrong. And we can choose, if we wish to, to fight to get that something back

I'm talking about Purity. True, real, uncorruptible Purity. It's lost. Does this world seem truly Pure to you? Of course not, this world is a battlefield! Casualties are left and right. Everybody's taken hits. You're wounded, I'm wounded, everybody's wounded. We're all part of this war, whether we like it or not.

Unfortunately, while the war may be evident, people seem to have taken to pretending it's not there. Occasionally, they'll be hit by shrapnel or clipped by a bullet but all they'll do is pick themselves up, feel a little sorry for themselves, blame God, then continue on as if nothing happened. This is exactly what the enemy wants. What better way to win a war than if those you're fighting against refuse to believe they're under attack? Apathy kills. I can't say this enough. Apathy kills.
